Our classes are structured around traditional skills, including observation, proportion, form, anatomy, perspective, composition and visual storytelling. Rather than chasing a particular “style”, we concentrate on giving people the underlying skills and confidence to develop their own. Some people come to us because they’ve always wanted to learn to draw. Others drew years ago and want to begin again. Some are aspiring illustrators or creative professionals looking to strengthen their foundations.

Made in Sheffield

Created in Crookes

Storyline Arts began with small, in-person drawing classes in Crookes, Sheffield.

Those sessions remain an important part of what we’re building… relaxed groups, practical teaching, real feedback and the chance to spend time drawing alongside other creative people.

From weekly drawing sessions to more focused courses, our aim is to build a place where adults can continue learning visual arts without the expense or commitment of returning to full-time education.
